At the Freedman Law Firm, we provide effective solutions to your trust and estate administration and litigation, estate planning, or elder law concerns. Our firm has earned a reputation for crafting successful legal strategies. We work closely with you to make sure we protect your best interests. We focus on four practice areas:
- Litigation of trusts and estates: We represent trustees, private fiduciaries, administrators, executors, beneficiaries, heirs, guardians, conservators, will and trust contestants and respondents, elder abuse claimants and defendants, creditor claimants and respondents, and other interested parties involved in trusts and estates disputes. We help clients when disputes come up regarding the administration of trusts and estates, such as trust validity, no-contest clauses, breach of trustee fiduciary duties, will and trust contests, statutory diqualification, characterization of property, apportionment of estate taxes, and many other issues.
- Administration of trusts and estates: We represent trustees and executors in the day to day administration of trusts and estates such as full probate of decedent's estates, summary probate where available, proper administration of trusts including subtrust funding, estate tax returns, settlement of account, and distribution.
- Elder law litigation: Elder abuse occurs when an elderly person is either mistreated physically or psychologically, or defrauded financially. Our elder law litigation practice focuses on financial elder abuse. Financial abuse may be committed by any person, including one who is responsible for the care or custody of, or stands in a position of trust with respect to, an elder. We represent senior citizens, or their heirs and beneficiaries, where an elder has been taken advantage of financially or deprived of property due to their advanced age.
- Estate planning: We help clients distribute and dispose of their property according to well-prepared plans. This practice includes trust creation, Special Needs Trusts, GRATS, QPRTs and other specialty trusts.
What We Offer: Service. Responsiveness. Accessibility.
